Meet Mai

Mai has been in the esthetic industry for over 25 years. What began as a hobby turned into a life-long passion. Mai obtained her cosmetology license in 1991 from Marinello school of Beauty in Lakewood, CA. Over the years, she has successfully completed courses from the renown Joe Blasco Studio in Hollywood as well as Dinair Studio in North Hollywood. Mai is also a licensed waxing technician and facial esthetician trained by Dermalogica in Irvine,CA. Mai has experience in the wedding industry, both in Bridal Updo and Bridal Makeup.

However, Mai's talents ultimately led her to hair styling. She completed hair cut and color courses from Redken Academy New York and continued to perfect her craft with supplemental online courses. After working as a stylist in San Diego for 12 years, Mai is now the proud owner and top stylist at Plaza Hair Salon in Rancho Bernardo, CA.

Despite her numerous achievements, Mai continuously works on her craft. She regularly attends hair shows to stay current with new trends and techniques. Her focus has always been and will remain the satisfaction of her clients.

In her free time, Mai enjoys hiking and spending time with loved ones. She enjoys volunteering at nursing homes, lending her hairstyling talents to elders who may not be able to obtain haircuts otherwise.
