“Wow! I was a bit skeptical at first, but Mai was great and she really managed to give me an awesome hairstyle. I’m very impressed and I love it, I’ll try to style it the way she recommended.”
Andrew B.
Graduation is nothing more than a fancy way to say taper or fade. It means that the hair is gradually cut from shorter to longer, being left long enough to comb on top and gradually tapers down around the ears and neck. It is also referred to as a short businessman’s cut or classic taper and it is a very traditional men’s cut that is appropriate for every style.
Before we started with Andrew, we needed to determine ahead of time the best area of the haircut for the graduation, which is determined by the length of the top. The rule for the flat graduation is that the longer the top, the more extreme and lower of the head the graduation will be. Also, the shorter the haircut, the higher on the head the graduation will be.
This is a great hairstyle for both younger and older men and may be worn a bit tousled for a more casual look. To style it, add a bit of cream or pomade to damp the hair and brush it back into place. From the comfort of the familiar to the thrill of experimentation, we can say Andrew’s transformation is great!
